Design Miami + Art Basel Are The NeoCon of December!

Dear Stephen,

I'm the regional sales manager out of New York City for a mid-sized manufacturer—not large, not small, just right. I'm thrilled because our company has given me the budget to host our A&D clients at Design Miami and Art Basel Miami Beach this year. These events run from December 3rd to December 8th, and even better, my company is sending me with two of my sales reps! Many of our design clients and end users are attending independently, along with several dealer salespeople and principals.

The event is drawing the same customer base we saw at #SalonedelMobile2024. Though I'm based in New York, colleagues from Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and even LA are heading to Miami! While we participated last year, I've never seen such momentum building for this fair. It's an ideal opportunity to connect with clients in a social setting—a wonderful bonding experience for both our company and our customers. Miami's electrifying atmosphere only adds to the excitement.

Are you going? Is everyone going? Has this become our industry's new must-attend event?

Signed,

See you in Miami

Dear See you,

Design Miami (designmiami.com) and Art Basel (artbasel.com/miami-beach) are the places to be from December 3rd to the 8th.

My team and I will be all over the shows.

These fairs are attracting stronger attendance from the furniture industry—both contract and residential. Many of your customers are attending independently because designers find it inspirational and end users want to stay current. For contract furniture dealers, attending will elevate your brand. For luxury residential brands, it's essential.

The fairs span several venues. The main Art Basel event is housed in the Miami Convention Center, where parts of Design Miami also take place. Throughout Miami and Miami Beach (two separate cities, as many don't realize), numerous satellite events and parties run all week.

In Miami proper, the Design District hosts excellent exhibitions and furniture events, alongside world-class restaurants. Don't miss the #Wynwood District while you're there. A major advantage of the Design District is its walkability—crucial during this week's notorious traffic.

I know #GlobalFurniture has a fantastic showroom in the Design District. Their soiree on Tuesday, December 3rd, is a coveted ticket that kicks off the week. #Haworth has become the District's dominant presence, thanks to their #LifestyleDesign brands including #PoltronaFrau, #Cassina, #Cappellini, #LuxuryLiving, and #JanusetCie among others. Don't miss Thursday night's parties at #Luminaire and Poltrona Frau—both are must-attend events. Luminaire and Cassina, by the way, share a building in the District. Also essential are the showrooms of #DesignHoldings brands: #BeBItalia (aka Flos B&B Italia Group), #FENDICasa, #LouisPoulsen, and #Maxalto. #MillerKnoll's #HollyHunt and #DesignWithinReach will be buzzing too. You're right—it does feel like Salone!

The outdoor furniture companies' spaces in the Design District will be packed Thursday night, December 5th—that's when the District truly comes alive. And this doesn't even touch on Art Basel's incredible art exhibitions. Book your restaurants now, pack your sunglasses and swimsuit, and I'll see you in Miami!

Signed,

Stephen
