Regional Sales Manager - South Atlantic Coast, Midwest & Eastern Canada
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the sales and sales growth of The Senator Groups products in the region of the country outlined. The Regional Sales Manager works to ensure profitable growth in sales, revenue through planning, execution, and management of the independent sales organization they lead. The Regional Sales Manager will counsel, train, and guide the assigned rep team. They will establish a yearly strategy and monitor and support its execution while making recommendations to the Vice President of Sales on any potential changes to their territory.
- Achieves sales objective as set forth on a yearly basis by leveraging the sales channel resources available
- Actively sets sales volume goals for sales representatives within distribution network based on market potential
- Proactively sets sales volume goals for key customer/dealer organizations within distribution network
- Defines targeted end-users, influencers and channel partners and collaborates with representative organization to ensure appropriate and timely targeting
- Actively participates in field sales call activity with sales channel partners to end-users and specifiers or influencers; to both support selling effort and to assess product knowledge and sales proficiency of sales organization
- Identifies growth opportunity by targeting accounts, markets and sectors and measures progress in advancing these sales efforts
- Provides regional leadership to independent representative organization within their respective territory
1. Establish expectations and a yearly business plan and goals for territory
2. Works with independent sales representative in completing yearly business plan for territory. Each plan should outline the following:
a. Overall sales volume goals for the year
b. Breakdown of sales by markets/product groupings (Allermuir and Senator brands, by product type)
c. Identification of newly targeted customers and markets
d. Sales call goals specific to our organization
3. Overall Senator Group related goals for market and specific action items to achieve these goals
4. Measure progress toward goal on a month-to-month basis and communicates success or deficiencies in meeting goals
a. Takes corrective action promptly when sales channel does not meet plan
- Efficiently and effectively schedule travel to optimize their time and investment in the travel related costs
- Manages all additional discounting and competitive job costing that balances the optimizing of company profitability while ensuring competitiveness
- Communicates effectively and timely to all team members and support required that may impact performance of sales organization
- Provides market feedback on competitiveness of product offering to internal leadership team
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, attending appropriate industry or trade related events
- Maintains professional selling networks through regional and/or national participation in end-user groups, interior and architectural design and or industry specification associations, or any other influencing body that can support the growth in both product specification and sales
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and continuous improvement efforts
- Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service-related changes, surveying consumer needs and trends and tracking competitors
- Communicates professionally, effectively, and timely with all internal and external customers
- Self-motivated, high energy and an outwardly positive upbeat attitude

- Very strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Outstanding industry related experience skills
- Outstanding sales and sales leadership experience; a minimum of 10 years of professional selling in contract and conceptual sales
- College degree is desired, not required if candidate has experience to obviate this formal learning requirement
- Ideally the candidate/employee will be located within the region, and located in Maumee, Ohio to provide careful oversight of the specific market
- South Atlantic Coast & Midwest Region of the United States and Eastern Canada would include the following territories:
· USA: North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Upstate New York, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, North and South Dakota.
· Canada: Eastern Ontario and all territories east
