ELB Education is part of a large international company specializing in an exciting range of technologies and services for education. Our goal is to assist schools by redefining the learning space, while emphasizing the benefits of integrating technology and furniture in a safe environment. Working with our education sales & design teams, we are currently seeking an interior designer to provide software & design expertise in presenting furniture solutions for today’s classrooms.

Applicants must have an understanding of interior design and furniture layouts within various markets, but experience in education is preferred. The applicant must be competent at showing how flexible furniture can be used to create various learning spaces and how these solutions help learners discover and develop skills for the future. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for creating 2D and 3D conceptual drawings and renderings incorporating product from various furniture manufacturers
  • Collaborate within a team to understand the needs of the customer and create a design that best fits their requirements
  • Professionally communicate product information to the sales team and their customers
  • Work through our internal process to create a design, including fabrics and finishes, for our project management team to implement
  • Create and develop an in-depth understanding of our product positioning and integration with technology

Qualifications, Experience and Expertise

  • In depth knowledge of 2D and 3D design and software such as AutoCAD, CAP 2020, Project Matrix, SketchUp, KITS Collaborator, etc.
  • 0-3 years experience in interior design or space planning for a commercial market with a bachelor's degree in interior design, OR
  • 2-3 years experience in interior design or space planning for a commercial market with an associates degree in interior design
  • Skilled communicator - excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, able to adapt to many levels of audience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and oversee concurrent projects
  • Ability to work both in-person and remotely with a large national team
