Position Summary:
The Educational Environments Designer works as part of a team to support clients by collaborating to design educational learning spaces that support teaching and learning. We’re looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual with the ability to execute all phases of project interior design. Excellent organization and communication skills are important for this position.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Problem-solve all things interior design of learning environments. Ranging from concept development through design to space planning. Conduct preliminary space plans, including furniture layouts which may include pricing and component counts. Deliverables will vary greatly between projects.
- Networking and building relationships within the A&D community. Attending meeting, conferences, and events. Preparing and lead trainings, presentations, and events for design professionals.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with various audiences (School officials, Sales, Dealers, Construction Managers, Architects and Design community). Collaborate and prepare presentations to be given virtually or in person (travel will be required).

- Focus on continuous improvement by collecting data on projects, communication, and follow-through. Working with the team to determine best practices and implementation of programs and systems, while maintaining constant focus on meeting and exceeding requirements and expectations.
Talents and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s of Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited university with experience preferred.
- Possess excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and effectively in collaborative teams
- Proficiency in Design Technology and experience with of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Configura CET Commercial Interiors, AutoCAD, and REVIT
- Organized, detailed-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Self-starter with an ambitious attitude, highly motivated, hardworking, responsive to project needs.
- Comfortable conducting meetings and presenting in virtual and in-person formats.
- Willingness to locate in the Central Texas area (although we will consider hybrid and virtual work situation)
- Experience working with the A&D community on school projects is preferred.
